REBA Launches Condominium Committee

REBA President Paul Alphen has announced the creation of a new committee entitled Condominium Law and Practice Committee. The group, which will begin as a subcommittee of REBA’s Litigation Committee will be chaired by Diane Rubin of Holland + Knight LLP and Clive Martin of Robinson & Cole LLP.

 

A kick-off meeting, open to all REBA members, has been set for 12:00 noon on Thursday, September 18, 2008 at REBA headquarters at 50 Congress Street in Boston. A sandwich luncheon will be available. The group’s inaugural meeting will focus on the differences between M.G.L. 183A and the Uniform Act. The meeting will feature Hon. Rudolph Kass (ret.) who participated in the drafting of the original Massachusetts condominium law in the late 1960’s. Steven Chow, a member of the Massachusetts Commission on Uniform State Laws will lead a discussion on the Uniform Condominium Act.

 

Bob Galvin will moderate the meeting.
